Horde

The Horde Project is about creating high quality Open Source applications, based on PHP and the Horde Framework.

The guiding principles of the Horde Project are to create solid standards-based applications using intelligent object oriented design that, wherever possible, are designed to run on a wide range of platforms and backends.
There is great emphasis on making Horde as friendly to non-English speakers as possible. The Horde Framework currently supports many localization features such as unicode and right-to-left text and generous users have contributed many translations for the framework and applications.

Currently Horde Project boasts many applications, some already enterprise-ready and deployed in demanding environments, and some exciting new ones still in development.

Uebimiau

Uebimiau is an universal webmail developed in PHP by Aldoir Ventura.
It is free and can be installed in any email server.

-It runs under any System;
-It doesn´t require any extra PHP modules;
-Doesn´t need a database (as MySQL, PostreSQL,etc)
-Doesn´t need IMAP, but compatible with POP3 and IMAP
-Compatible with the MIME Standard (send/receive text/html emails);
-Doesn´t need cookies;
-Easy installation. You only modify one file;
-Compatible with Apache, PHP, Sendmail or QMAIL;
-Can be easily translated into any language (already translated in 17 languages);
-Can use a variety of skins

การติดตั้ง squirrelmail

การติดตั้ง squirrelmail (WebMail) บน windows 2000 โดยมีรายละเอียด
ความต้องการของระบบ

• Webserver (IIS, Apache)
• PHP 4 and greater
• SMTP Server
• IMAP Server
• Squirrelmail
• Perl 5 (Optional)

ทดสอบการติดตั้ง IIS และ PHP ว่าใช้งานได้ปกติ

ทดสอบการทำงานของ mail server และ IMAP ว่าใช้งานได้ปกติ

ทำการคลาย zip Squirrelmail ไปยัง document root

ทำการตั้งค่าไฟล์ config.php สามารถทำได้โดย แก้ไขค่าต่างๆได้โดยตรงที่ /squirrelmail/config/config.php โดยค่าที่สำคัญมีดังนี้

$domain แก้ไขเป็นชื่อ domain ที่ใช้งาน

$useSendmail เป็น false ถ้าต้องการใช้ SMTP ถ้าเป็น true จะเป็นการเรียกใช้งาน sendmail path ใน php.ini แทน

$smtpPort เป็น port ของ SMTP Server ค่าปกติคือ 25

$imapServerAddress เป็น address ของ IMAP Server ใส่ได้ทั้ง domain หรือ ip address

$imapPort เป็น port ของ IMAP Server ค่าปกติคือ 143

$imap_server_type เป็น IMAP Server program (courier, cyrus, exchange, uw, macosx, hmailserver, other) ค่าปกติคือ other

เมื่อทำการตั้งค่าต่างๆแล้ว ทำการเรียก http://yourdomain/squirrelmail/src/configtest.php เพื่อใช้ ระบบทำการตรวจสอบว่าโปรแกรมต่างๆตามต้องการนั้นครบหรือยัง

หรือถ้าระบบทำการติดตั้ง Perl ไว้ การตั้งค่าทั้งหมดสามารถทำได้โดย เรียกใช้งานผ่าน comman line ที่ /squirrelmail/config/conf.pl

ถ้าทำการตั้งค่าทั้งหมด แล้วทดสอบการติดตั้งด้วย configtest.php ผ่านเรียบร้อยแล้วก็สามารถใช้งานได้ทันทีครับ

IlohaMail (pronounced: e-lo-ha-mail) is a light weight yet full featured multilingual webmail program that is easy to use and install. It runs on a stock build of PHP, and does not require databases (although database support is available) or the IMAP library (it is powered by a custom IMAP/POP3 library).
